I recently purchased an FX265 with a Yanmar 300K loader, 2860 hrs, fair tires, and appears to be in pretty good condition. However, no one - including the "dealer", seems to know anything about this tractor. I need an operator's manual, shop manual, and parts manual if they are available. In addition, I traded a Kubota L225 for it (total $7500) and I just wonder if this was a mistake. Any information about this tractor would be greatly appreciated.

Karen,
The FX265 is a very nice tractor. It was first built in 1988, and my most recent records for 1990 indicate it was still in production. I have no information on tractors produced after 1990, so it could have been built later than 1990 as well. The 3 digit F and FX series tractors are some of the newer ones being imported. In general Yanmar tractors are excellent quality, and should provide many years of trouble free service. Unfortunately, there are no english manuals for these tractors since they were never intended for markets outside of Japan. You should be able to get parts manuals (in Japanese) that provide excellent drawings that serve as a good guide for disassembly and repair. The part numbers and descriptions can often provide a standard cross reference number for things like bearings and seals.

Enjoy the powershift and Yanmar loader!

Greg ....
